Building Language provides an introduction to Latin stems as the basis for much of the English language. Using the analogy of the arch in architecture, the book explores the Roman roots of our buildings and the Latin roots of our language.

The Student Book contains a substantial introductory section, which is followed by ten lessons, each one introducing an important Latin stem. Together, these lessons show young students that big words aren’t necessarily hard. The stems provide an intellectual key that opens the door for children to a new world of understanding language.
