The YanaCocha Rescue Centre rescues and rehabilitates wildlife species and reintroduces them into the Tamandua Ecologic Reserve. The destruction and fragmentation of habitat in the Ecuadorian Amazon is considered the greatest threat to biodiversity conservation and the primary cause for the extinction of wild species in the region. YanaCocha is working to combat this threat by preserving the Amazonian rainforest and populating it with native birds, mammals, amphibians, and reptiles to create a healthy and thriving ecosystem.
